The location of\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003ethe Thermocouple is very important and must be\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003edone correctly before tightening the Nut.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e1. Unscrew the Nut that holds the defective Thermocouple\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eand remove from the Body. Disconnect Thermocouple\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003ewiring located under the Top Cover of the Heater. Remove\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBody and discard.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e2. Install Heating Element and Spring if also removed.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e3. Install Connector Body into Heater using an open-end\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003ewrench and tighten to prevent leakage. Teflon Tape or\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eappropriate Thread Sealant should be used.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e4. Slide the Nut and the Ferrule over the Thermocouple\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eand insert this assembly into the Connector Body\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003euntil it comes into positive physical contact with the\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHeating Rod. Make sure the Spring does not prevent\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003ethe Thermocouple from making contact with the\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHeating Rod.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e5. Slowly tighten the Nut using an open-end wrench,\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eensuring the Thermocouple maintains positive\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003ephysical contact with the Heating Rod.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e6.
